Pozza di Fassa is a popular mountain and ski resort in the heart of the Dolomites, one of the most popular holiday regions in the Alps. Together with Vigo di Fassa and Pera di Fassa, it belongs to the municipality of San Giovanni di Fassa in the Ladin part of the Dolomites and is an excellent starting point for exploring the Dolomiti Superski network, the Sella Ronda and the fascinating mountain world of the Catinaccio. From Pozza, you can head west to the Pera - Campedie ski area, with a ski circuit to Vigo di Fassa. On the eastern outskirts of Pozza, the Buffaure - Ciampac - Alba ski area provides a ski connection to Canazei and the Sella Rona. In summer, Pozza / San Giovanni di Fassa offers a wide range of activities for hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers. The village is located in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers countless hiking trails of all levels of difficulty. The Catinaccio group is world-famous among climbers and is considered one of the most spectacular mountain formations. The area also offers the full spectrum of Italian and Ladin cuisine. The district of Moncion (Monzon) lies at the entrance to the Vajolet Valley, at the foot of the world-famous Rosengarten mountain range. Their evening alpenglow (Enrosadira) is a unique natural spectacle.
