Grand Massif (700m - 2500m)

Savoie Mont Blanc | France
Altitude 700 m - 2.500 m

Le Grand Massif is as the name suggests one of the largest ski resorts in Europe. Besides Morillon, Le Grand Massif connects the villages Samoens, Les Carroz, Sixt and Flaine. Like no other ski area Grand Massif offers a great view over Mont Blanc. With a maximum altitude of 2.500 m and an altitude difference of 1.800 m the resort established itself as superb and snow reliable. Eleven different fun parks and attractions for children along the slopes make Le Grand Massif to one of the leading family resorts. Nevertheless, experts and free rider are often seen around the Flaine bowl enjoying endless powder lines. With 14 km the Cascade track is the longest in the whole resort. Skiers can choose between an easy ascent and a more difficult variant. Along the slope you pass a mountain lake called Lac de Gers which offers a nice and popular restaurant. As alpine skiing remains the most popular activity in the resort cross country skiing has a growing community with a big and still growing number of slopes. Every village in the ski area offers a ski school for every age group and skill level.
