Flachau is a popular ski and holiday resort at the foot of the Radstädter Tauern mountains, in the region of Salzburg/Austria. It is part of the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, which also includes Wagrain St. Johann im Pongau / Alpendorf. The village offers a variety of sports and leisure activities. It's suitable for both families and sportive guests. The après ski facilities also attracts many tourists. Flachau is part of the top 10 of the largest travel destinations in Austria. It's the home village of the Olympic ski champion Hermann Maier.
