The luxury apartment complex of Les Balcons de Val Thorens is situated on the upper edge of Val Thorens. A range of cosy apartments, each for between 8 and 16 guests, are housed in large, completely wood-covered chalets. All of the apartments boast a wondrous view of the high-alpine mountain landscape that surrounds Val Thorens, direct access to the ski runs and modern furnishings. Each apartment is equipped with at least one jacuzzi bathtub, a wood stove, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, balcony and ski locker. The ski locker can be found in the complex's ski storage room in the bottom of the building, which itself provides access straight out on to the ski runs.

The complex's included services also extend to hand towels and bed linen for all guests. If required, bulky equipment such as baby cots (mattress and sheets not provided) and high chairs can be loaned free of charge from reception. Les Balcons de Val Thorens offers its guests a secure luggage storage service for their arrival and departure days, allowing them to make full use of their time out on the slopes, even before checking in on arrival day and after having checked out on departure day. Further comfort can be delivered in the form of various extra services, including (for a fee) final cleaning of all areas except for the kitchen, or alterantively the full-service package.
Guests who book the full package of services can, alongside final cleaning (again, excluding the kitchen), look forward to ready made-up beds on arrival, a mid-stay change of hand towels and the provision of a set of cleaning products.

A particular highlight of the Les Balcons de Val Thorens complex is the large "wellness" area, to which all guests have free access. This incorporates an indoor swimming pool (with a large panorama window), a sauna, steam pool, kid's pool and fitness studio. The attached "Thalgo" spa offers an additional range of bookable beauty treatments.
The area immediately surrounding the complex holds two delightful restaurants in store. "L'Auberge des Balcons de Val Thorens" serves breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, as well as offering an exclusive half board deal for guests of the residence. The adjoined bar features a large TV and a pool table, and a sun terrace can be accessed directly from the Plein Sud ski run. All these facilities are open throughout the day. The charming restaurant tempts its guests with a range of both Savoyard and Italian delicacies. A possible evening alternative is "La Cabane", with its quaint, old-fashioned feel, open fire and open kitchen, complimented by fine regional cuisine. There is also a supermarket and various other shops within very easy reach of the complex.
